ASP.NET Web Matrix Reloaded!!
Just back from camping in this weekend but got a shocking news (email) in my Inbox immediately!
Subject: "Announcing ASP.NET Web Matrix Reloaded" by Brian Goldfarb.
Yes! The new version of the ASP.NET Web Matrix (Reloaded) was released!!!
I'm a big fan of the ASP.NET Web Matrix and co-author a book in the past:
Beginning Dynamic Websites : with ASP.NET Web Matrix
I love this tool and it's very handy and powerful for ASP.NET Development. Honestly, I used Web Matrix frequently and nearly as the same rate like your Visual Studio .NET in work.
Apart from reading the official features list displayed on the ASP.NET Web Matrix homepage, I'd like to highlight and credit at a few more URL: -
User Group Support from APress
Just got a good news from APress! today, and I'd like to thanks Stephanie Parker (Marketing and Publicity Co-ordinator from Springer-Verlag London Limited) firstly.
Stephanie and me start keeping contact since May, we have a great time though she've just hand-over her jobs to a staff in my region recently, and I'm glad to meet her (albeit virtually). She is very helpful and I'm happy to see the polite response from her staff in my region too.
They provide a warm and friendly support to our local User Group and promise to send the promotion catalog, give-away products and review book to our User Group members. If any User Group leader read this blog, I'd recommend you take a look at their APress! site, register and cooperate with their User Group section, they are a friend and beneficial to the User Group community. :) -

[New article] data access control - SqlDataSourceControl
Just published a new article on ASPAlliance last week, ah... I just notice that I didn't write for my column more than 4 months... :\
In Web Matrix, there is a new data access control - SqlDataSourceControl and we can use it to manipulate the datasource and databind to any data web controls, e.g. DropDownList, DataGrid, DataList, Repeater, etc. The beauty is that you can create and configurate the SqlDataSourceControl once easily, and then you can apply it to different data web controls immediately.

Help on Web Hosting
Any idea/suggestion about Web Hoster which provide a multiple-year plan?
A Portal site for the Hong Kong .NET User Group will be released soon, (guess what?) which is based on the CSK. While the concern at this moment is - Web Hosting, and I'm finding a hoster which can provide > 1 hosting plan (and definitely offer a discount if possible) to me, but all I can find on the Web is a monthly or yearly basis only. Finally, I found a hoster offered this solution to me, but their service and response is not as good as I expect.
Anyway, Thanks to PaulWilson, he gave me some idea about the hoster over our conversation tonight, and sure, we talk about the future of ASP.NET as well. :) -
PopUp New Window in List Control with Multiple Parameters
Just saw 2 very similar post in the ASP.NET Forums yesterday (It would probably be a FAQ about using Javascript and DataGrid)

A new comer in ASPAlliance
I got a pretty interesting notice that a new columnist born in ASPAlliance yesterday. He's called Andy, I'm glad to see this happened because he's come from the same city with me - Hong Kong. It's a small place with around 7 millions of people only, but 2 columnists (included me) come from this place in ASPAlliance.com, you know the percentage/portion? :)
