Jackie Goldstein, Renaissance Computer Systems
In our first session this month we take a break from new technologies and instead take a look at how you can drastically improve your programming productivity when coding in Visual Studio. Kim Major, one of our long time members, will discuss and explain how using the CodeRush and Refactor Pro! add-ons for Visual Studio has “changed his life” when developing .NET applications. In particular, Kim will show how these tools boosts your efficiency in all aspects of the coding process – creating, reading, and changing your VB and C# code.
Our second presentation will also take a look at existing technologies, although probably one that most of you are not familiar with. In this session I will provide an overview of SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition - how it compares to other free Microsoft database engines, development and deployment options, and existing options for synchronization with a central database.
As always, we'll have our special "Hatzilu" session at our meeting. So please come prepared to discuss your most frustrating problems (or at least some of them!) and to share some of your own techniques and solutions that you have found useful in your applications.
Please confirm your attendance.
