Off Topic: Buy.com Customer Service Phone

I'm very surprised to notice that there's no (absolutely no) phone number listed for the customer service on the web site. How the hell am I supposed to "talk" to somebody about my order. Given the popularity of the web site, one would think that there will be more ways to contact them than just by "Email", no?

Finally, Google search for the customer service number came to rescue. The contact number is 800-800-0800.

    Using the Community News tag forced this post to appear on the home page of the http://weblogs.asp.net site. Please do not use that tag for off-topic rants like this. When I visit the ASP.NET weblogs home page or read its posts in my feed reader I am expecting to see only ASP.NET content.

    Thank you for the phone number. I have had a terrible experience with them and will never buy there again. I think this is why they don't post the number and I emailed them twice and have never received a response back. THEY SUCK!

    Just cancelled my order calling the phone # above, Thanks. Could not get email response to my inbox or spam folder (email). They never informed me about any backorder status, nor is it listed as not in stock on the item page. You might steer clear of buy.com and get the product faster and with better communication.

    I totally agree with everyone!! I have ordered several items from Buy and they are always slllllloooooooooooow. Until recently, that's the ony problem I've had with them. I used a new card, and they placed my order on hold because THEY said my shipping and billing address didn't match. I checked with my bank to make sure everything was correct. It was. So, I re-entered all the info, per Buy's request, and still...they said it was wrong. I finally gave them the customer service number to my bank and they finally released my purchase. Why should I have to go through such a hassle to give them my business?? And especially when all I can do is send e-mails! So, I praise the person who found their phone number....watch out Buy.com!!! Let's get 'em ya'all!!!

    I had trouble looking for the number as well! Thank goodness for this site. I've had good experience with buy.com. Last time I ordered an item it said shipment from 7-9 days, I received it in 3 days from the day I ordered it! Althought customer service number was hard to find, majority of the reps are not so bad

    What a nightmare - I am glad I stumbled upon this site for the customer service number. I received a gift for xmas from them that I simply did not want. I have never purchased anything from them & I don't ever plan on purchasing anything. First of all, you can't see anything on their website with have a customer user log in (no thanks). Second, the customer service rep I spoke with took a long time to understand the (simple) e-mail address I gave her for the return slip which, as far as I am concerned, should have just been included in the box. She really got perturbed when she asked me if I opened the box - I answered - 'It was a gift, of course I opened the box. How else was I supposed to know what was inside?'. NEVER AGAIN.

    Wish I had found this before ordering from Buy.com. I ordered a textbook for my daughter. Alibris was the seller and they sent me the wrong edition. First, never do business with Alibris and second, never purchase from Buy.com. 4 emails and three phone calls later, I still do not have a return label from either of them. If this drags on for much longer, I'll be outside the return window....maybe that's their plan.

    I've ordered many things from Buy.com and have had no problems at all. I needed to find their phone number, though, and even if you log into your account, you have to provide the phone number that you want them to call you back at (within 15 minutes, the website says). I couldn't find this number anywhere and needed it to file a warranty, so thank you for sharing it.
