I haven't missed a single DNR, HM, or Polymorphic Podcast. Since before podcasting existed I've listened to programming books read to me using text-to-speech software. I use ReadPlease 2003 with AT&T Natural voices. Way back in 1998 I was listening to the un-natural computer voice that came with IBM Via-Voice software. Am I the only crazy person who does this??? People think I'm nuts listening to a mono-tone computer voice, but I've read (heard) TONS of well written books and articles using this technique. Some say it's a great idea, but I'm the only one I know of who actually does this.
