I think that you are making a mistake about Miller.
I really love the humor in both Mondays and the first show that he did. In a freaky kind of way, though.
As in: "Did he -really- just said that?"
About infomertials, defiantely a big deal going there for CodeRush, they seem to mention / push it every other show or so. Even avoiding the discoverability show.
The two other previous shows with miller were much better, IMO.
Looking forward to hearing your show :-)
Roy,
Maybe you're the grumpy blogger and I'm the crazy one but I agree with you about the DDD show. I was really looking forward to that show, but it put me to sleep. I love Jimmy's book and have emailed him about things in it, and he's a great guy. However on a podcast, he sounded like he wasn't there.
I would love to maybe say have Eric Evans on there as he's a great speaker (he came here for AgileXP Universe in Calgary, very slick) or even tap into Jim Newkirk or someone. Not saying Jimmy wasn't a good choice as a guest, but for whatever reason the show just wasn't on. Also I agree with you on the Mark Miller show. Again, I know Mark and was surprised that it kept going back to pushing the product. Mark's more about writing cool software (at least from what I know him).
Anyways, looking forward to hearing your show. I think I'm finally going to get Regular Expressions with some of your tools. It's just such a black art that I have yet to master.
Mark: Gave it a shot - listened to shows 1 and 2.
You owe me a beer :)
See you in Barcelona?
Roy.
@Mark: You know, I don't think you totally f'd up but I did feel a large part of the podcast was about the product. The fact that discoverability is a big part of new features in CR (and hopefully RP as Scott suggested so add my vote to that capability if possible). Maybe it's really hard for someone like yourself to not keep going back to what you know when hooked into a conversation like this. We always covet what we know. So putting a person like you in a place like, I might have done the same thing. Don't take it too hard dude. You still rock!
>> You owe me a beer :)
Roy: Damn. :-D
OK, saving up my beer money. I'm pretty sure I'll be in Barcelona.
