OWA is not that hard to setup. I use it and absolutely
love it.
I would take a look at www.4smartphone.net. I have been
using mailstreet.net for two years but switched to
4smartphone.net about five months ago and could not be
happier. They support the usual owa, outlook over http,
and best of all active sync direct push support for
smartphones.
They even accept PayPal and their support for getting
things setup is amazing.

It's funny - I did *exactly* the same thing. When I
realized what a shocking sysadmin I was, I moved to
Gmail and have never looked back. They've got a calendar
now, what else do you need? ;o)
